The Brit not content with season best result

Leon Camier gave a solid performance in Race 2 at the Pirelli German Round, bringing his MV Agusta home in fourth, just narrowly missing out on a podium.

About his race, the Brit said, “Yeah, I’m happy and annoyed at the same time I thought it was possible to make the podium and it was so easy to make mistakes here and I made a lot of mistakes. At the same time it’s the first weekend that I’ve had a bike that can genuinely fight for a podium so I’m a bit frustrated that I didn’t achieve that.”

The 30 year old stays positive though, looking ahead to the next races knowing that he has the capacity to compete for the podium. “But all in all the guys made a good step with the electronics in the wet race conditions so I’m happy, I’m looking forward to the last few races at the end of the season.”

Even though Race 2 at the Lausitzring saw him achieve his season best, Camier still wasn’t happy with the day’s efforts. “In the dry conditions, in warm up we were second. And I felt pretty comfortable if it had of been a dry race well it’s hard to say. I think we could of been quite competitive here I think but it is what it is, this track suits us a little more than others, but I’m looking forward to the next few races.”

Camier is now focusing his sights on the remaining three rounds of the FIM MOTUL World Superbike Championship and reaching the podium.
